I am so sorry to hear that my church friend from years ago passed. I knew you as "Pookie" and when someone said your name, I didn't know who they were talking about. However, when they showed me your picture my eyes began to swell up with tears because it was then that I knew the most humble and sweetest person I know had passed. May you rest in peace, "Pookie." I will always remember you. Kiss and hug Brother and Sister McMillian for me.

My deepest condolences. May you find comfort in each other, in the good memories, and in the hope the scriptures provide. Our Lord Jesus said that in the future, God will call and “those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out” to a resurrection (John 5:28,29). The promise of being able to see my loved ones who have passed has comforted me through tough times and I hope that promise also brings you comfort. In the words of Job (Job 14:14,15) - “If a man dies, can he live again?I will wait all the days of my compulsory service Until my relief comes.  You will call, and I will answer you” Jehovah God is anxious to see all of those who have fallen asleep in death and reunite them with all their loved ones.

We're sorry to hear about your recent loss. May you find strength from the words of Philippians 4:13 which says: "For all things I have the strength through the one who gives me power." What a loving God who cares about each one of us. He didn't intend for us to grow old and die. He thus has made the SURE promise of a resurrection right here on earth when it is restored to a beautiful paradise (Psalms 37:9-11, 29; Acts 24:15; Isaiah 55;11). Can you see yourself welcoming back to life your loved ones? What a joy it will bring all of us. You can go online to JW.ORG and find out more about this resurrection.
