Joseph L. Moore, 69, of Memphis, TN, died on Tuesday, August 14, 2018, at his residence in Memphis. Born Tuesday, May 31, 1949 in Duncan, MS, he was the son of the late Roosevelt Moore and the late Rosie Smith Moore. He was the husband of Dorethea Sallie Moore. He was the owner of Premier System Parking Inc. Also surviving are daughter, Sandra Faye Moore Thomas (Chris), his son, Joseph L. Moore, Jr., brothers, William Moore, Charles Moore and David Moore (Chandra), sisters, Dorothy Moore, Minnie Kroger, Christine Redmon (Booker T) and Debra Crawford (Marcus); four grandchildren, Alandryia, Brandy, Daphne and Bianca. The family will receive friends from 9 to 10:50 a.m. on Saturday, August 18, with Funeral service to follow at 11 a.m., both at Cathedral of Praise, 8200 Macon Rd., Memphis, TN, 38125. Interment will be in Memphis Memorial Hill Gardens, Memphis, TN.

    We're so sorry you are mourning the loss of your dear loved one. Not much can soothe the pain this sorrow brings, but we hope the words of Psalms 34:18 can help some. It reads: “Jehovah is close to the brokenhearted; He saves those who are crushed in spirit.” We can rely on our loving God to provide comfort in these troublesome times. He also has made the sure promise of a resurrection RIGHT HERE ON EARTH when it is restored into a beautiful paradise! (Acts 24:15; Psalms 37:9-11, 29).
