Essie M. Jones (95), slept away peacefully on August 17, 2018. She was a faithful evangelist and member of All People International Church, Inc. She wed Roosevelt C. Jones Sr. (deceased) on Jan. 18, 1940 and was married for 60 years. To this union were born Mary Kellam (Oscar, deceased), Roosevelt C. Jr (Anita), Tina Holsey (Wilbur Jr. deceased), Arthur T. Sr. (Sharon) and Barbara Davis (Thomas). Other survivors include: her little nation of fifty grands, and great  grands, adopted son, Theodore Byers( Doretha), brother in law Jessie Jones, goddaughter Gracelia McClenton, sisters in law Marie Randolph (Walter) and Maple Jones and many relatives and friends.
The Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday at 11 am at her church located at 1993 West Edgewood Avenue, Jacksonville, FL 32208.

Visitation of friends will be held at her church on Friday, August 24th from 5-8pm and in the church Saturday, August 25th from 9am until the hour of service. Interment will be held following the service in Edgewood Cemetery. Arrangements by: James Graham Mortuary, Inc 3631 Moncrief Rd.

May you find strength from the words of 2 Corinthians 1:3, 4 3 Praised be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of tender mercies and the God of all comfort, 4 who comforts us in all our trials so that we may be able to comfort others in any sort of trial with the comfort that we receive from God. What a loving God who cares about each one of us. He didn't intend for us to grow old and die. He thus has made the SURE promise of a resurrection right here on earth when it is restored to a beautiful paradise (Psalms 37:9-11, 29; Acts 24:15; Isaiah 55;11).
