Freddie Williams, 93 of Olive Branch, Mississippi died on Wednesday, August 22, 2018, at North Mississippi Medical Center Inpatient Hospice in Tupelo, Mississippi. Born Tuesday, June 30, 1925 in Memphis, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Willie Williams and the late Lizzie King Williams Jones . He was a retired employee of the Shelby County Government. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Alma Byrd Mathers Williams. Surviving are sons, Jerry Williams (Elizabeth), Wentrell Williams (Jacquelin),Travis Williams (Donna), Desi Williams (Bettye), Caster Williams (Dianne) and Alex Williams (Murble) , daughters,Markeeta Outlaw (John) and Dierdri L Williams , sister, Vivian Corpening; 29 grandchildren; 50 great grandchildren 8 great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends to celebrate his home-going.. The family will receive friends from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM on Monday, August 27, 2018, at R S Lewis & Sons Funeral Home 374 Vance Ave, Memphis, Tennessee. Funeral service will be at 10:00 AM on Monday at R S Lewis & Sons Funeral Home located at 374 Vance Ave Memphis, Tennessee 38126. Interment will be in New Park Cemetery, Memphis, TN.

    We deeply feel for what you and the family are going through. At times, there isn't much that can soothe the pain this grief brings, but you may find some comfort in the words of Psalms 9:9 which reads: "Jehovah will become a secure refuge for the oppressed, A secure refuge in times of distress." Yes, our Loving God can help if we allow him to (1John 5:14). He also has made the SURE promise of a resurrection right here on earth, when it is restored to a Paradise (Acts 24:15; Psalms 37:9-11,29).
