April 7, 1934 - August 23, 2018

Columbus, GA- Lucy K. Pope 84, of Columbus, Georgia passed Thursday, August 23, 2018 at Muscogee Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Funeral services will be 11:00AM Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at Bethany Baptist Church, Pine Mountain, Georgia with the Pastor Rev. George Strozier, officiating. Interment will follow at Green Acres Cemetery, Columbus according to Hill-Watson-People's Funeral Service LLC, 1605 3rd Avenue, 706-327-9293. Visitation will be Sunday, September 2, 2018 from 3:00PM-6:00PM at the funeral home. Mrs. Pope was born April 7, 1934 in Pine Mountain, Georgia to the union of the late Lonnie and Anna Ray Ogletree. She was a 1954 graduate of Carver High School, Hamilton, Georgia and retired from West Point Pepperell Mills and preceded in death by her husband Rev. Robert Pope. Mrs. Pope leaves to cherish her memories her sons, Lonnie Pope, Laurel, MD and Charles Robert Streeter, Columbus, GA; brother, Lonnie Ogletree; several grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and dear friends.
