Evelyn Cole Williams was born October 17, 1930 in Eatonton, Georgia to the late Sam Cole and Lillie Ruth (Gorley) Cole. She was a graduate of the local schools in Putnam County. Evelyn was married to the late George Williams and was an accomplished Licensed Cosmetologist. She peacefully transitioned to eternal rest Monday, September 17, 2018 in Eatonton, Georgia at Putnam General Hospital.

In addition to her husband and parents, Evelyn was preceded in death by a son, George Gregory Williams and a grandson, Torris Little, Jr.

She leaves to cherish her memory a daughter, Helen J. Williams Little (Torris H. Little) of Radcliff, Kentucky; son, Porter Jordan (Derome) of Eatonton, Georgia; grandchildren, Jonathan little, Santika Williams, Julius Jordan, and Tiniki Jordan all of Eatonton, Georgia; granddaughter in law, Kerry Little of Jeffersonville, Indiana; special sister in laws, Ruth Ellison and Johnnie Mae Cole Humphries of Eatonton, Georgia, Willie Mae and Horace Banks of Macon, Georgia; brother in law Alfred Simmons, Sr. of Eatonton, Georgia; 16 great-grandchildren;  host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and her caregivers over the years.

Funeral services were held 11:00 A.M. Saturday, September 22, 2018 at Union Baptist Church, 240 M.L.K., Jr. Drive, Eatonton, Georgia, Rev. Johnny Harris, Pastor, Officiated. Burial followed in Eastside Eatonton City Cemetery.

Services entrusted to Bernard's Family Funeral Care, LLC, The Eatonton Chapel.
