Ella Mae Smith
March 21, 1946 - April 25, 2018

Ella Mae Smith was born March 21, 1946, to Willie Mae Ratliff (Kokomo, MS) and the late Elton Magee (Foxworth, MS).  Ella attended Pine Groves School. She later met and married the love of her life Willie Smith on March 13, 1963. Unto this union three boys were born.  She joined Little Rock MB Church at a young age where she served on the Usher Board and remained a faithful member until her death.

Ella started her working career teaching at Hub Head Start. She later began work at Pioneer.  Ella was a dedicated worker for Pioneer Aerospace for over 20 years. She was a dedicated wife and mother. She loved her family and had great passionate for them and all who come in contact with her.  She had a love for fishing as well.  If you wanted a good home cooked meal, Ella’s house was the place to go. She loved to cook and fed her love ones or anyone else that stopped by her house.  At the time of Ella’s death, she was employed at Smith Funeral Home.

Early April 25, 2018 Ella departed this life to rest in the loving arms of her Heavenly Father at 1:00 a.m. at Marion General Hospital.  She was preceded in death by her father Elton Magee and son Ronnie D. Smith.  Three brothers, James Edward, Willie B. and Willie Earl Ratliff.  One sister, Rosie Sellers.

She leaves to cherish her loving memory, a devoted husband, Willie Howard Smith, Foxworth, MS; Two sons, Ricky (Sandra) Smith of Hattiesburg, MS; and Randy Smith of Foxworth, MS. a loving mother, Willie Mae Ratliff; a loving mother-in-law Floree Smith, Four sisters, Felicia (Mitchell Earl) Weary, Evelyn Cowart of Knoxo, MS; One Brother-in-Law, Jessie “Pee Wee” Smith of Foxworth, MS and one Sister-in-Law, Felicia Ratliff of Oak Grove, MS; A host of grands, great grands, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
