Apostle Linda K. Buckner was born March 12, 1957 in Brooklyn, NY to the late Johnie R. Johnson and Mary L. Johnson. She was the third of four children, her eldest sisters Gail S. Johnson-Crisp (Brooklyn, NY), Deborah M. Johnson-Riggs (Statesboro, GA) and younger brother Bishop William R. Whitaker II.

Linda affectionately known as Mommy, Kit, Tribe Queen, Wada, Grannie, Auntie Linda, and G-Ma. Linda was educated in New York City Public School System. She received her higher education in Statesboro, GA. Linda devoted her life to full time ministry until she was called home by the Lord. Her last sermon was preached the Sunday before her home going. 

Linda met her husband John Buckner in 1981. He was her knight and shining armor. From this union three children were born; Erica K. Johnson-Mims, John D. Buckner, and Cody S. Buckner. Her pride and joys are her four grandchildren Demitrius, Aniyah, Skyler, and Bella. 

Linda was baptized and received Christ at the early age of 8. She was an active member at the Cathedral of the Greater Free Gift Baptist Church. Linda began her ministerial journey almost 20 years ago. She became an ordained minister on November 27, 1994., at the New Birth Baptist Church by the late Rev. Michael Riley. She continued her ministerial career and was ordained an Apostle on December 1, 2012. She founded Yahweh Temple of Faith, Incorporated. There are two locations; one located in Statesboro, GA and the second in Fayetteville, GA. 

Linda leaves to cherish her memories her loving and devoted husband of 33 years, John. Her three children Erica (Will), John and Cody. Her grandchildren Demitrius, Aniyah, Skyler, and Bella. Her mother Mary L. Johnson, two sisters Gail and Deborah (Norman), one brother Bishop William R. Whitaker II. One sister-in-law Martha Buckner (New York, NY). A host of nieces, grand nieces, extended family and friends who all loved her dearly. 

Funeral Service for Mrs. Linda K. Buckner will be held Tuesday, August 5, 2014 at 6:00 PM at Faith Walk Ministries, 6084 Riverdale Rd, College Park, Georgia: Burial: Camp Memorial Gardens, 1095 Hwy 54 East, Fayetteville, Georgia.
