Darien L. Polk, Sr. was born September 24, 1968, in Lexington, MS. Darien was the first child of three born to the union of LaPlause and Erma Jean Patton-Polk. His mother preceded him in death.

Polk united at Rockport Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Bishop C. D. Mitchell. He was an Ordained Deacon, and faithful member of Rockport Church.
Polk worked as a dedicated and experienced Auto-Mechanic until his health failed him.
Polk was a sweet spirited, comical, energetic, and outstanding person to everyone he met. He was a devoted son, brother, father, uncle, and friend. God’s servant was called to wear his wings on Monday, September 1, 2014.
