Ms.Cornick Octavius “Nikki” Smith – December 13, 2014 @ 11:00 a.m.
                                                                  Guiding Light COGIC in Lexington, MS

Cornick Octavius “Nikki” Smith was the only child born to the late Dorlean Smith on October 13, 1982 in Chicago, IL. Later, they moved to California, then back to Mississippi.

Cornick “Nikki” was baptized at an early age at Sunny Mount M. B. Church under the leadership of Bishop C. D. Mitchell.

Cornick “Nikki” attended school in the Holmes County School District and graduated from J. J. McClain High School in 2000. She went on to further her education at Tougaloo and Northwest Community College.

Cornick “Nikki” was employed with the Holmes County School, and worked faithfully until her health failed. During her time with the Holmes County School District she worked in the SPED Department, she worked with AmeriCorp, and drove the bus. Cornick “Nikki” loved the outdoors, and hunting. Her love for her son, family and friends was priceless.

God brought us to it and He will bring us through it. “Nikki” departed this life peacefully on Wednesday, December 3, 2014, at 7:05 p.m., at the University of Mississippi Medical Center, in Jackson, MS, with her auntie and a mother to her, Carolyn, holding her hand.

Cornick “Nikki” Smith leaves to cherish her fondest memories: an adorable son, Donovan; grandmother, Pearlie Meeks of Lexington, MS; father, Charles (Mary) Williams of Lexington, MS; a very special loving and devoted aunt, Carolyn Meeks of Lexington, MS; 3 paternal sisters; Angela Williams of Lexington, MS, Shannon Harris of Coila, MS and Sheila Gail Anderson of Memphis, TN; 1 special brother, Tredell (Nekeysa) Meeks, 4 paternal brothers; James (Natlie) McGee and Odessa (Ann) Williams, all of Lexington, MS; Dexter Campbell of Jackson, MS, and Jeffrey Meeks of Greenwood, MS; 14 aunts; Bobbie (Robert) Nash of Lexington, MS; Betty Spears of Woodworth, LA; Yolanda Meeks of Aurora, IL, Ouida Baptiste & Mary Rockett of Pineville, LA; Doris Potier of Rialto, CA; Bernice Taylor and Mary Vance of Chicago, IL; Lena Overstreet and Jesse Johnson of West Point, MS; Mary Blackmon, Maggie Blackmon and Irene (Walter) Holmes, all of Lexington, MS; 10 uncles; Joe (Rhonda) Hood of Fontana, CA, Lee Meeks of Chicago, IL, John (Ann) Meeks Jr., and Anthony (Kintorchia) Meek of Lexington, MS, Joe (Hattie) Meeks, Roosevelt (Alberta) Meeks and McOllie Meeks, all of Pineville, LA, Melvin (Dorothy) Williams, Eddie (Shirley) Williams, and Roy (Gloria) Williams, all of Lexington, MS. Also, a special God Sister Zamara Hoover and God Mother Laura Hoover, both of Lexington, MS; a loving and devoted friend; Miron Smith of Durant, MS and a dear friend Christy Chisholm of Lexington, MS, 2 special cousins, Andura Hood and Derrick Hood, of Lexington, MS; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
