Kevin was born on March 22, 1974. He attended school in the Valdosta City School System, graduating in 1992 from Valdosta High School where he was a member of the VHS Choir, a singing group called the Trubadors, and a member of the PAMS club. He continued his education at Valdosta State University studying Business Management and at Wiregrass Georgia Technical College, where he successfully completed the course of study to become a Licensed Cosmetologist. From an early age he enjoyed modeling, singing, and writing. As an adult, he enjoyed performing hair treatments and created hair styles that transformed the countenance of his customers.  He was called to the Lord on December 20, 2014.
He leaves to mourn a loving mother Phoenis Blankumsee of Hahira, Georgia; two brothers, Aqeel Hassan and Lawton Blankumsee (Rowena) of Quitman, Georgia; five sisters, Sharon Lane of Hahira, Georgia, Debra Miller and Lesa Blankumsee  both of Valdosta, Georgia, Sonja Jenkins of Lake Park, Georgia and Donna Mayo (Benjamin) of San Antonio, Texas; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. Three brothers preceded him in death.

Funeral Service for Mr. Kevin O. Blankumsee will be held Friday, December 26, 2014 at 2:00 PM at River Street Church of Christ, Valdosta, Georgia: Burial: Hillcrest Memorial Cemetery.
Public Viewing: 12:00-6:00 PM - Wednesday, December 24, 2014 and Family Visitation: 5:00-6:00 pm in the BTW Funeral Services Chapel.
Professional Services entrusted to Blankumsee, Thomas & Wright Funeral Services of Quitman, Georgia.

    my dearest best friend Kevin .it's so hard to know i'll never see or hear your voice or see that handsome smile anymore . But the pasted days have been hard . As i sit and remember all the fun and silly things we did growing up. I will never forget any of it . but i will cherish them all from the day we met in Pre-k til now you were the best friend i could ever known and had. I miss you so much. what hurt the most is i never got to say goodbye but god know best so my sweet angel best friend i will always love you

    I am so sorry for the loss of your, son, brother, uncle, my brother in Christ a precious soul a good and loving friend. Kevin was a sweetheart and I know that all who knew him will miss him.
