Ms. Dorothy Mae Johnson's services were held March 7, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Lebanon M. B. Church in Lexington, MS. Pastor Patrick Walden officiated and she was interred at Greenlawn Cemetery in Lexington, MS.

Mrs. Dorothy Mae Johnson was born on May 16, 1945 in Lexington, MS to the late James and And Thelma Johnson. She was married to the late James Smith, Jr. Their union was blessed with six children: Dorothy Ann Williams (Melvin), Anthony E. Smith, Andrew Smith (Patricia), Aretha White (Kenneth), Anita Smith and Lee Fisher all from Jackson, MS.

She attended Beulah Grove School and Lexington Attendance Center. She worked at Lexington Attendance Center in the food service industry until she retired. She affected so many people with her beautiful smile and her joyous laughter. 

At an early age she joined Beulah Grove Baptist Church in Lexington, MS. She later joined Solid Rock International Ministries in Jackson, MS until her health started to decline.

She leaves to cherish her six children and six sisters; Lillie Heffner, Lexington, MS, Rosie M. Smith, Velma R. Jameson (Bill), Maderia Hart, Earline Hassell, and Bertha Garrett (Billy) and one brother Earl Johnson, Sr., all of Memphis, TN. She was always delighted to see all of her twenty-three grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren, her nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and a host of friends.

Rest In Heaven, you will be truly missed.
