Services were held Saturday, March 28, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at Damascus M. B. Church in Durant, MS. Pastor John Phillips officiated. He was interred at Damascus Church Cemetery.

Calvin M. Williams was born November 9, 1964 in Durant, MS to the late Jimmie Williams Jr. and Mrs. Doris Williams-Brooks. He was the third of four children. He received his education at Durant Public School where he graduated in 1983. He joined Damascus at an early age where he continued as a member until his health failed.

Brother Calvin (A.K.A. Swabb) was well known around the community. He had great love for his family and lived life to the fullest.

On Monday, March 23, 2015, God called his son (Calvin Williams) home to spend eternity with him. He was preceded in death by his father the late Jimmie Williams Jr., stepfather; Lee Earl Brooks, his sister; Doris Williams, five aunts, six uncles, and his best friend; Bessie Stewart.

He leaves to cherish his memories a loving mother; Doris Brooks of Durant, MS, two sisters; Felicia Williams and Jackie Young, both of Durant, MS, also uncle Clarence (Dorothy) Brown of Longview, TX, five nephews; Stanley (Sandra) Williams, Shamond Young, Forest, MS, Sherron Young, Cortavius Williams, and Othello Williams of Durant, MS. Furthermore, three nieces; Latasha Young, Erica Williams, Durant, MS and Corneisha Williams, Ridgeland, MS, also a great niece that serviced him daily; Alaysia “Little Bitty” Wade, and a host of great nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
