“In my father’s house are many mansions, if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go to prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.” John 14:2-3

Kenyita Markell Campbell received and answered her final call to come home and take her rest on Sunday, March 29, 2015 at the University Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi.

Kenyita (Kel) was born to Shawada Campbell and Kenneth Ashford on October 10, 1994 in Jackson, Mississippi. She received her education in the Durant Public School System.

Kel had a happy spirit; a people person, always willing to listen to people, never left anyone out and had a passion for bringing a smile to your face. She had an infectious smile whenever you met her. Precious memories and reflections will live on in the hearts and thoughts of her family and friends.

She leaves to cherish her memories, a loving mother; Shawda Campbell and father; Kenneth Ashford, two sisters; Shameeka (Mario) Williams of Goodman, MS and Taneaka Campbell of Starkville, MS, one brother; Kentrell Boatman of Durant, MS, one nephew; Jamario Williams of Goodman, MS, a loving grandmother; Ozella Anderson of Durant, MS, one aunt; Tonya Jackson of Durant, MS, two uncles; Phillip Boatman of Durant, MS and Joe (Tonya Kern) of Chicago, IL, two special friends; Terrance Brown and Loretta Brown, both of Durant, MS, and a host of other relatives and friends.
