Lorene Watkins, answered the call of her heavenly father on April 5, 2015. She was born November 13, 1934, in Enterprise, Alabama to James F. and Willie Mae Smith.

Lorene was a long-time resident of Panama City, FL. While raising her children, Lorene worked many years in the hospitality industry. She enjoyed her family, cooking, gardening, and was always ready to lend a helping hand. Through the years, Lorene met and made many long-time friends. She was known by many as" Lo". She was kind, caring, and funny. Before the setting of the sun on her life here on earth, Lorene received the Lords forgiveness and she has gone home to rest in his arms.

Lorene was preceded in death by her parents, James F. and Willie Mae Smith, daughter Danette Watkins, 8 brothers and sisters: Leroy Smith, Jim Smith, J.W. Smith, Eva Mae Smith Essie Mae McGee, Mary Nell Austin, Mary Willa Graham, Gussie Tyler, and Great-grandson Jaques Hill.

Lorene leaves to cherish her memory 10 children: Bobby (Janis) Watkins of Pensacola, FL, Doretha (James) Lovett of Arlington, GA, Phyllis(Tony) Pennywell of Panama City, FL, Barbaraet (Nelson) Rembert of Pensacola, FL, Frank (Teresa) Watkins, Jr. of Vero Beach, FL, Douglas Watkins of Evans, GA, Agnes (Renard) Manley of Orlando, FL, Timothy Watkins of Panama City, FL, Ray Mobley of Panama City, FL, Robert Mobley Jr. of Homestead, FL, 23 Grandchildren and 25 Great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.

Funeral services for Lorene Watkins will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2015 at 1 p.m at Greater Praise and Deliverance Church, with Apostle L.S. Thomas, Eulogist and Prophet Butler, officiating. Interment will be held at Hillside Cemetery. The remains will lie in state one hour prior to the service at the church. Visitation at the Funeral Home from 1-8 p.m. on Friday.
