Winona Sharp, daughter of the late Laura NeeSmith and the late L.B. Sharp was born on March 18, 1950, in Valdosta, Georgia.  She was educated in the Valdosta School System. She attended St. James Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Thomas J. Haynes.

On July 13, 2015, Winona entered into the ultimate retirement, when God dispatched his Angels to take her to that land where God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. Rev. 21:4

She was preceded in death by her parents, Granddaughter, Mariah Finniessee; Sisters, Winterfred Sears, Martha Hogan, Emma Jewel Sharp; Niece, Debbie Mack-Holmes; and Uncle, Willie Cut Edwards

Survivors include her loving & devoted Children; Rhonda Glade (Gary), Ronnie Glade (Von), Boris B. Howard and Darlene Denard-Page (James); her Grandchildren; Jeremiah Pierson, Nykeemia Wiggins, Nykeem Wiggins, Kayla Smith, Kendra Glade, Kendall Glade, Nyesha Maxwell (Keldrick), K’mari Howard and Alexis L. Marable; A host of Great Grandchildren;  her Siblings; Betty Thomas, Patricia Smith, Charles Edwards (Valarie), Lee NeeSmith; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends. 

Funeral Service for Ms. Winona Sharp will be held Saturday, July 18, 2015 at 3:00 PM at St. James Missionary Baptist Church, 104 Wisenbaker Lane, Valdosta, Georgia. Burial: Riverview Cemetery, Valdosta, Georgia.

Public Viewing: 3:00-8:00 PM - Friday, July 17, 2015 and Family Visitation: 6:00-7:00 pm at St. James Missionary Baptist Church, 104 Wisenbaker Lane, Valdosta, Georgia

    Ms. Sharp 9 months have passed since you left us here and its not getting easier. I truly miss you so much. You were a beautiful person and you looked beautiful during your HOMECOMING. But please look after your children they really miss and need you to guide them to become closer and forget about the past. Love your only Son-in-Law James
