Mr. Willie Fred Grant, Sr., affectionately known as “Kokomo”, was born September 8, 1939, the third of nine children born to the proud parents, Mr. Hubert Felton and Bertha Bailey Grant, who preceded him in death. He departed this life on November 3, 2015 at 11:08 PM in the comfort of his home in Boston, Georgia. 

Education: Fred was educated at Boston School within the Thomas County School System

Work:  Fred worked at Sunnyland Packing Company for many years. Fred was also a builder of manufactured homes, retiring from Liberty Mobile Homes in 1982. After retiring from the mobile home industry Fred worked approximately 5 years with Dillion Candy Company of Boston, Georgia.

Religion:  Fred remembered his Creator in the days of his youth and confessed Christ at an early age in 1953 under the Pastorage of Rev. C.H. Bastin and joined the New Oak Grove Missionary Baptist, where he remained a member until death. 

Family Life: He was married to the former Carrie Bell Bingham, February 27, 1962 and to this union four children were born.

Funeral Service for Mr. Willie F. Grant, Sr. will be held Saturday, November 14, 2015 at 11:00 AM at New Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church, Boston, Georgia, Rev. Dr. James Redmon, Pastor/Officiating.  Burial: Boston Community Cemetery. 

Public Viewing: 12:00-7:00 PM – Friday, November 13, 2015 in the BTW Chapel.
