Mr. Henry Hartzog, Sr. was born on December 4, 1930 in Allendale County to the late Curtis Hartzog and the late Claretha Cooper Hartzog.
At an early age he joined the St. Mark Baptist Church and attended faithfully until his health declined. Preceding him in death are three children: Henrietta Hartzog Johnson, Henry Hartzog, Jr. and Jeanette Hartzog; two brothers and five sisters.
Henry leaves to cherish his fond memories, three children: Claretha (Earl) O’Berry of Barnwell, SC, Ann Bradley and Tyrone Hartzog both of Allendale, SC; one sister, Marjorie Smith of Aiken, SC; one brother, Sammie (Irene) Hartzog of Boston, MA; one loving nephew, David Johnson that was reared in the home; 16 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren; and a host of niece, nephews, other relatives and dear friends.
