On Tuesday, February 2, 2016, our beloved Mamie “Red” Bryant was called home to be with our Lord and Savior at the age of 64. 

Mamie Pearl (Brooks) Bryant was born on March 20, 1951 in Boston, Georgia to Louis and Mary Brooks, who preceded her in death. 

Mamie was an avid fisher and very well known for her love of gardening. Mamie worked for 34 years at SWSH, until she retired and she also worked at Phoenix until her demise.   

Mamie will be greatly missed by many family friends and co-workers. She will also be missed as being the Diva of the family.

She was preceded in death by her Sisters, Lessie Samuels and Cheryl Sparrow and Brother, Louis Jr. 

She leaves behind to cherish her memories, her only son, Shawn (Tanesha) Bryant of Thomasville, GA; Three Grandsons, Andra Cloud, Jacksonsville, FL, Shawn (Christina) Bryant. Jr., of Oklahoma and Jalen Bryant of Thomasville, GA; One Granddaughter, Rasheka Bryant, Jacksonville, FL; Three Great Grandchildren, Cyriah, Sariyah and Jamarcus; Seven Sisters, Dorothy Thomas, Christine Brooks, Linda Maxwell, Judy Brooks, Cynthia Brooks, Sonya Pittman and Laticia Brooks; Two Step-Sisters, Henrietta Williams and Buria Davis; Step Brother, Frank Williams, all of Coolidge, GA. She will be missed by devoted friend Mattie Bowen; She leaves a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends to share in her memory.

One generation passeth away and another generation cometh;
But the Earth abideth forever.

Funeral Service for Mrs. Mamie Pearl Bryant will be held Saturday, February 6, 2016 at 11:00AM at Richland Missionary Baptist Church in Boston, Georgia, Rev. Henry L. Mathis, Pastor/Officiating.  Burial: Boston Communty Cemetery.

Family Visitation: 6:00-7:00 PM and Public Viewing: 12:00-8:00 PM – Friday, February 5, 2016 in the BTW Chapel.

Professional Services entrusted to Blankumsee, Thomas & Wright Funeral Services of Quitman, Georgia.
