Mr. Clarence F. Herring, Jr., 71, of 67 Gibbs Road, Garland, NC, passed away on Thursday, May 5, 2016, in his home.  Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 10, 2016, at 11am, at St. Stephen AME Zion Church, Garland, officiated by the Rev. Hugh Miller.  Burial, with military honors, will follow in Garland Community Cemetery.

Mr. Herring is survived by his wife, Eva S. Herring, of the home, sister, Lillie Parker, Garland, NC; brothers, Charles Herring, Willard, NC, Edward Herring, Charlottesville, VA and Tony Herring, Philadelphia, PA.

A visitation will be held on Monday, May 9, 2016, from 1-7pm, with the family being present from 5-6pm, at the mortuary.

    We the St, Stephen A.M.E.Zion church are sadden by the loss of our Brother. We are praying for his wife, Eva and his family during this most difficult hour.
