Our staff will continue to keep your family in our prayers. We thank you for allowing us to serve your family.~ Phillips Funeral Home, P.A.
Marvin will be greatly missed at the Naval Academy. I have worked with him for over 15 years and have seen him do some fancy Cobbler work. He knew his trade well. What a kind soul he was. Keeping his family in my thoughts and prayers. RIP Marvin!
Robin~ Robin Marsch Glen Burnie, MD
I am sorry to read about your loss. May God’s words in the Bible at Ps 34:18 provide you comfort. The scriptures tells us HE is near to those broken at heart, and those crushed in spirit HE saves.
~ P Land Owings Mill, MD
The U.S. Naval Academy lost one of their very best when Marvin passed. He has influenced over 30,000 Midshipmen over his tenure. It was fitting that the entire Brigade recognized Marvin's contributions to Navy and our great country on Friday afternoon. We lost a great man and a true gentleman. RIP my friend--You will be missed but not forgotten.~ Doug Borrebach Annapolis, MD
Prayers going out to the family during this difficult time. He was a great friend and mentor to not only myself but many civilian, enlisted military and midshipmen both men & women at United States Naval Academy. He personally pioneered a movement in helping hire a growing number of African Americans into federal employment at USNA. Made a great impact to all who knew or came in contact with him. A great loss but he`ll live on Forever in our hearts until we meet again. Love, Edward Gough 4th and Family~ Edward Gough 4th Glenarden

I pray that the comfort and understanding of the LORD will uplift and encourage you. Romans 8:28: "We know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose."
