Eugene Robert, 83, of Quitman, GA passed away at South Georgia Medical Center on June 4, 2016.  Eugene, affectionately known as Gene, was born in Quitman GA on March 3, 1933. His schooling was with Brooks County Schools and Valdosta Technical Institute.

Eugene married Flora on July 2, 1966, and remained in wedlock for 50 years up until his death. 

He retired from the military in 1972.  After retiring from the military, he worked in retail management for 2 years.  Thereafter, he worked as a substitute bus driver with the Brooks County School System for several years. Some of his favorite pastimes were fishing and taking care of his animals on his mini farm. He also loved classical and jazz music.  

The highlight of his life was April 1, 1974, when he was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses and remained faithful up until his death for the 42 years of his dedicated life to Jehovah. 

 Eugene is survived by his wife Flora. He was predeceased by mother, Beatrice Robert Mosley, and his father, Ernest Tribune and his sister, Ethel Robert Christian.  Left to mourn him also are a host of loving and caring nieces, nephews, one that was special, and other dear relatives.  

Memorial Service for Mr. Eugene Robert will be held Saturday, June 11, 2016 at 1:00 PM at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Quitman, Georgia, Craig King, Officiating.  Burial: Thomas Family Cemetery, Dixie, Georgia.

Public Viewing: 12:00-8:00 PM , Friday, June 10, 2016 in the BTW Chapel.
